Held by the God Who Is With You

““Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.””
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Fear can make even an ordinary day feel overwhelming. A difficult conversation, an unanswered question, or concern for someone we love can leave us wondering how we will manage. Into such uncertainty, Isaiah 41:10 speaks a deeply personal assurance: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee.” The reason for courage is not that we have everything under control, but that God is present.

A Moment With God

Take a quiet moment with the Lord and name the fear you have been carrying. What have you been trying to manage without asking for His help? Read Isaiah 41:10 slowly, pausing over the words “I am with thee.” Let this be a moment of honest prayer rather than pressure to feel differently right away.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, You know the fears I speak aloud and the ones I carry silently. Thank You for meeting me with compassion and for offering strength I cannot produce on my own. Through Jesus Christ, teach me to trust Your presence more than my ability to control what happens next. Help me take the next faithful step, even when I still feel afraid. Let Your love steady my heart and shape the way I care for others today. In the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior, Amen.

Today’s Challenge

Write down one specific fear, then turn it into a brief prayer asking God for the strength to take the next faithful step today.
