Love That Reflects Christ
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”
Watch & listen to today's devotional
The love of God is the foundation of our faith. He did not wait for us to become perfect before loving us. Through Jesus Christ, God reached toward us with mercy, forgiveness, and the promise of new life. His love found us, lifted us, and gave us hope.
Because we have received such great love, Scripture calls us to love one another. This love is more than kind words. It listens when someone is hurting, forgives when an offense is painful, gives without seeking praise, and prays even for those who have disappointed us.
Christlike love does not mean ignoring truth or accepting what is wrong. Jesus showed us that love and truth walk together. We can speak honestly without cruelty, set wise boundaries without hatred, and correct with humility rather than pride.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal one person who needs to experience the love of Jesus through you. A gentle answer, a thoughtful call, a sincere apology, or a quiet act of service may become the very evidence of God’s presence that person has been praying to see.
Let love lead your thoughts, your words, and your choices. When the world sees believers loving with patience and grace, it receives a living witness that Jesus Christ is still changing hearts.
A Moment With God
Be still before the Lord and remember how patiently He has loved you. Let gratitude rise in your heart for every time He forgave, restored, protected, and carried you.
Now bring before God anyone you find difficult to love. Ask Him to soften your heart, guide your response, and help you see that person through the eyes of Christ.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to save me, forgive me, and show me how to love. Wash my heart in the precious Blood of Jesus and remove bitterness, pride, impatience, and every unkind spirit. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that my words bring healing, my hands bring help, and my life reflects Christ. Teach me to love with truth, wisdom, mercy, and courage. Let someone encounter Your goodness through me today. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Today’s Challenge
Choose one person and show the love of Christ in a practical way today. Send encouragement, offer forgiveness, help with a need, or pray with them. Do it quietly and sincerely, asking for nothing in return.
