Stand Firm in the Full Armor
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.”
Paul wrote about armor from a prison cell. Chains on his wrists, victory in his spirit. The battle we face is not against flesh and blood — it is spiritual, and it requires spiritual weapons: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.
Notice the armor covers the front, not the back. God never equipped His people to run from the fight. He equipped us to stand, and having done all, to stand still.
Dress yourself every morning before the world speaks to you. Belt of truth around your mind. Breastplate of righteousness over your heart. Shield of faith raised before the day begins. Then plead the Blood of Jesus over it all — the battle is already won.
Prayer
Mighty God, I put on Your full armor today. I plead the Blood of Jesus over my thoughts, my heart, and my steps. I stand against every scheme of the enemy and declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. In the victorious name of Jesus, amen.
